HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF
CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION?
 
Before watching the video, the students copy the following questions in their notebooks
 
- What´s Ollie´s job?
- How many sons does Ollie have?
- What´s the name of one of his sons?
-What jobs are named in the film?
-What material does Ollie use for his work?
-How does Ollie get the idea of the name for his business?
-Do Ollie and his sons succeed?
-How does their luck change?
-What does LEGO mean?
 
The students also focus their attention on the following vocabulary:
 
-challenge
-brand
-breakthrough
-make a profit

HEAD OVER HEELS

Have you ever heard about the expression HEAD OVER HEELS?



 
St Valentine´s Day is getting nearer
Let´s celebrate this date doing different activities
 
The students look for the meaning of Head Over Heels in the following webpages:
 
 
AREN´T YOU HEAD OVER HEELS EVERYDAY?
 
Let´s watch the short film "Head Over Heels"
but before watching it, we must tell the students to focus their attention on the following:
 
-the relationship between the two characters
-feelings shown in the film
-the moral of the film
-the different objects which appear in the house
 
 
(This short film has been nominated for the 2013 Oscar Awards)
 
After watching the film: - we can make students speak about it
                 -they can write about it
(based on the points above)
 
Listen to the song Head Over Heels by Abba
(students can be handed the lyrics of the song with some missing words to practice listening)

Reach the top of the world and Dreams will come true

Watch the film "James and the Giant Peach", and then answer the following questions:
                    (The film is based on a tale by the famous writer Roald Dahl)


                   - What´s the name of the boy?
                   - Where does he live?
                   - Who does he live with?
                   - What are James´s troubles?
                   - Where are the answers to all James´s problems?
                   - What marvellous things will happen?
                   - What´s hanging on a tree?- What happens next?
                   - How many animals appear in the film?
                     (look for their names up in a dictionary)
                   - What are they attacked by?
                   - Why is New York important in the film?

                   Write or tell the end of the film and the moral in it
